Autocad, why cant I have more than one file open at the same time?

Makes me close the present one before opening another.

    There is a system variable you need to change.

    SDI

    Currently I bet your SDI is set to 1, it likely should be set to 0.

    Type in SDI and make the change, I bet it works for you.
